Wendy Hedgebeth Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 26, 2025.
Wendy Hedgebeth was born in Michigan where she discovered her love for dance at an early age. She graduated Cum Laude in 1974 from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She was a member of the Delta Pi Honor Society. She spent her early years as a professional dancer later turning her passion into a lifelong vocation as the owner of her own dance studio. Through teaching, she inspired countless students with her grace and joy of movement.

Wendy was the proud mother of two beautiful daughters, Amanda Leigh and Breanna Christen. Her heart forever changed in August of 1986, when Amanda passed away in a tragic accident. Despite her immense loss, Wendy carried her daughter's memory with strength and tenderness throughout her life..

Due to health reasons, Wendy later relocated to Texas where she met and married the love of her life, Chris Hedgebeth. Together they built a life filled with love and devotion and they shared one daughter, Breanna Christen.

Wendy leaves behind her loving husband of 35 years, Chris; her daughter Breanna; and her cherished grandchildren, Azula Rose and Shance, Jr. She will also be remembered by many close relatives and friends.

Wendy was a kind and loving soul whose warmth touched everyone who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved. She is now at peace, in the loving arms of Jesus Christ, reunited with her daughter, Amanda, in heaven.
