Wendy Hunter Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beinhauer Family Funeral Homes - Peters Township - McMurray on Feb. 7, 2024.
Wendy Lee Hunter, of Pitsburgh, PA, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on February 5, 2024.
Wendy was born on April 30, 1966, in Pittsburgh, PA to Mary Jane (Knapp) and Wayne Nelson Rockhill. She graduated from Peters Township High School in 1984 and later received her degree in Cosmetology from South Hills Beauty Academy.
Wendy loved spending time with her family and most importantly being a mother to her three children. She volunteered many hours at her kid's grade schools, including lunch duties, PTA bake sales, and countless field trips. She loved to make people laugh, always having something quirky and funny to say, no matter the occasion. Lover of animals, Wendy was a mom or grandma to countless pets throughout her life. She spent most of her recent years working in salons at retirement communities, where she was able to spread her contagious laugh and zest for life among the many residents she cared for.
Survived by her husband, Greg; her three children Stormy (Patrick) Connors, Willliam Hunter, and Anna (Adam) Kenawelll. She is survived by her brother Kenneth (Tracey) Rockhill, their children, her nephew, niece, Louis and Jane, and countless other family members and friends. Preceded in death by her parents and her beloved Doberman, Reese Girl.
Arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Visitation will be held Monday, February 12, 2024, 2-6pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in Beinhauer Family Funeral Home at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, PA, 15317, beginning at 6pm.
