Wendy Lyons

Wendy Lyons, 50, of Davidson, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024, after a lengthy and brave fight against cancer.Wendy was a loving mother, daughter, and cherished friend. She was born and raised in Wilmington, NC and has been a long time resident of Cornelius, NC. She was a finance manager with Wells Fargo.
Wendy is survived by her daughters, Bailey and Riley; her father, Danny Eason (Wilmington); her mother, Patty George (Cornelius); and her fur babies, Mugsy and Kiki. Her spirit was a vibrant blend of fun, energy, and an unyielding strength that inspired everyone around her. She was aptly nicknamed "Wonderwoman."
Celebration of Life will occur at Blythe Landing Lake Norman Park, where the family will receive friends and celebrate the life and happy times of Wendy on July 24, 2024, from 8:00 to 9:00 pm. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the 1p36 foundation, at 1p36dsa.org, which was dear to her heart. Donations could also be made to the Levine Dickson Hospice House.
