LANCASTER – Wendy J. Shaben, age 75 of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Grant Regional Health Center in Lancaster. She was born March 1, 1950, the daughter of Edmond and Vera (Kittoe) Richardson. Wendy attended Potosi High School. On August 6, 1966, Wendy was united in marriage to Harry R. Shaben. Together they farmed in Waterloo Township. She enjoyed farming and raising her family. She was employed at Loudspeaker Component Corporation. Wendy was a member of Davies Memorial United Church of Christ in Potosi. She enjoyed crocheting, puzzles, crossword puzzles and her flowers. Wendy will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children: Deb (Bill) Krantz, Dana (Tracy Schrader) Shaben, Harry W. (Mo) Shaben, Heather Shaben, Joe Shaben, and Eric (Sonja) Shaben; 14 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings: Bill, Betty Lou in infancy, Robert and David Richardson; and her former husband: Harry Shaben.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Martin Schwartz Funeral Home & Crematory in Lancaster, with Pastor Mark Hoehne officiating. Burial will be in the Van Buren Cemetery, Potosi. Family and friends may call on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home.
