Wesley Chambers Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Terry Family Funeral Home - Portland on Mar. 23, 2023.
Wesley Wardell Chambers was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on October 8, 1943, to parents Willa Mae and James A Chambers. He grew up in Portland, Oregon. Wesley homegoing was on March 18, 2023.
Wesley possessed many talents and gifts which he offered willingly in service as a minster and choir member at Faith Tabernacle. In Denver, Colorado he attended Temple of Prayer.
Wesley was a great storyteller, comedian, music lover, movie watcher, and comic book collector. He enjoyed cooking and watching cooking shows. He was known for his spaghetti, large hamburgers, and gumbo. We are grateful for the time and memories shared with him and honor his transition to a greater life eternal.
"NO eyes has seen, or ears has heard an no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him." - 1 Corinthians 2: 9
He is preceded in death by his parents Willa Mae and James A. Chambers; brothers Eugene, James Junior, Alonzo Lee, Donald Dean and Richard; sister Artie Mae Grissom-Christmas.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Jacqueline Chambers; Daughter Ernie Everlee Chambers-Liles; sons John Wesley Wardell Chambers, Joseph Reed Wardell Chambers; grandchildren Jonathan and Priscilla Liles; sisters Anna Chambers-Keeles, Deborah Grissom-Kabia; and a host of nieces, nephews and many family members.
Thank you, the family is especially thankful for the thoughtful expressions of kindness received and for the caring staff and medical personnel at both Marquis Piedmont and Legacy Health. May God richly bless you and yours.
