Wesley E. Hicks

Wesley E. Hicks, 62, of New Providence, entered into rest on Friday, January 30, 2026, at his home. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Earlene (Holcomb) Hicks and the late Kenneth M. Hicks. He was the husband of Regina (Harclerode) Hicks for 5 years.

Wes was an independent truck driver and also drove concrete truck for Pennsy Supply, Inc.. He was active in fire service for 43 years and served three terms as Fire Chief for Refton Fire Co., where he loved driving the tanker. Wes enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching Jimmy Swaggart. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and was especially fond of his 8 dogs.

In addition to his wife and mother, Wes is survived by two daughters, Jodi Hodges and Jessica Hicks; stepchildren, Kerianne Yost and Austin Yost; 4 grandchildren; 3 brothers: David, Mike, and Brian Hicks; several nieces and nephews; and dear friends who were like children to him, Jesse and Steffi Adsitt.

The Funeral Service will take place at Wesley Church, 1104 Kirkwood Pike, Quarryville, PA on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a viewing at the church from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service in the New Providence Church of God Cemetery.
