Wesley Ingram Jr. was born on July 1, 1945, to John Wesley Ingram and Sallie Ingram, both of whom have since passed away. He has been happily married to his beloved wife, Naomi Ingram, for 62 years. Their union has been a remarkable journey filled with love, mutual support, and shared memories. Together, they have raised four wonderful children: John Ingram and James Ingram, both residing in Elon, NC; Andrea Weathers (Jasper) of
Burlington, NC; and Marcia Turner(Adrian Turner) of Gibsonville, NC.
Wesley, affectionately known as Popeye or Wesmo, was a dedicated worker at Cone Mills and Elon University, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and made significant contributions to the communities he served until his health prevented him from continuing his professional life. Despite these challenges, Wesley maintained a positive outlook and remained an inspiration to those around him.
Beyond his professional achievements, Wesley was a devoted family man who cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. He leaves behind a loving wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, all of whom were the center of his world. Wesley is survived by his his wife Naomi Ingram,grandchildren:Marcus Dorsett,Timothy Dorsett,Jasmine Richards, Rakeem Mathews,
Orlando Rogers(deceased)Tanisha Redmond,James Fisher,Dahabo Barre,Kyra Royster and Maci Turner.siblings: Sallie Burnett, David Ingram (Linda), Billie Ingram (Dannitra),Lenda Oliver (Dwight) Elisie Ingram(deceased), Roberta Tate(deceased) William Thomas Ingram (deceased),Regina Hester (deceased) and Ollie Ingram.Each of them shared a special bond with Wesley, filled with laughter, love, and countless cherished memories. He leaves behind a host of nieces,nephews,great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, each of whom hold dear the lessons and love he imparted to them.
Wesley will be sorely missed by his wife,his children, friends, and family. His warmth, sense of humor, and wisdom touched the lives of many, and his legacy of love, hard work, and dedication will continue to inspire all who knew him. As they gather to celebrate his life, his family finds comfort in the memories they shared and the values he instilled in them, ensuring that his spirit will live on through generations to come.
