Wesley Allen Jordahl, 41, passed away unexpectedly on May 6th, 2024 in Bozeman, Montana. He was born on May 16th, 1982 in Billings, Montana to Marilyn Jordahl (Golik) and Ronald Jordahl.
His precious little sister, Lindsey Foard (Jordahl) arrived in 1984.
He attended St. Therese of the Little Flower Elementary School in Minot, ND, Saint Michael's Elementary School and Sacred Heart Highschool in Grand Forks, ND and graduated from Tartan Highschool in Oakdale, MN in 2001. In 2007, he received a degree in Construction Electricity from Saint Paul College, Saint Paul, MN.
Wes's passion for carpentry, inspired by the many projects he grew up working on with Jon Larson (Pops), truly shaped his career. Wes spent the past twenty years refining his master carpentry craftsmanship. He worked for several contractors as well as owning and operating his own company, Westland Home Builders. There was no rafter too high, no mosaic too detailed, no install too complicated that he couldn't complete with exquisite attention to detail.
An ultimate outdoorsman, his ideal living room was on the water and his kitchen was a campfire. Born with a fishing pole in his hand, he was feared by walleye throughout the Midwest; from Fort Peck to Lake Sakakawea to Devils Lake to Mille Lacs to Lake Pepin and every puddle in between. The Skipper's seat in the bow of the boat will always be his. He especially enjoyed his many floats down the Smith River and bow hunting throughout Montana.
Wes lit up the room with his magnetic personality, contagious smile, and quick wit, usually accompanied by that twinkle in his eye that kept everyone wondering what the next punchline would be. He always kept everyone in stitches and those many laughs will echo in our hearts forever.
Wes's world changed forever the Christmas of 2018 when he brought his beloved Mini Australian Shepherd, Emmy, home. They shared an extraordinary bond, and she brought immeasurable meaning and joy to his life.
Wes loved his friends and entire family with all of his heart and was always quick to show it with one of his giant bear hugs. He was so excited to take on his newest role as Uncle Wes. Wes loved all genres of music and appointed himself the resident family DJ. Luckily, his taste was impeccable, and he always had the perfect tune for every event. We thank the Lord for blessing our lives with Wes, a.k.a., Three Pole Willy, MinneapolWes, UPWes, Prevailing Westerly, Wesley J. and Wes the Best.
Friends and family recall Wes's way of helping anyone in need He will be remembered as a kind-hearted man who helped (and was helped) by many others, loved by many, and who will be profoundly missed. The world will be a little less bright without him in it.
We pray that our loving memories of Wes as son, brother, brother in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin and dear friend will make our hearts a little less heavy and eventually replace the sorrow of his loss. Rest high on that mountain Wes and we'll see you on down the trail.
Wes is survived by his mother Marilyn Larson and stepdad Jon Larson of Hudson, WI, daughter Kaylee Caldwell of Maple Grove, MN, sister and brother in-law Lindsey and Alexander Foard and nephew Atlas Foard of Hudson, WI, as well as many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Wes was preceded in death by his father Ronald Jordahl, brother Shawn Jordahl, grandparents Gene and Virgene Jordahl, Matthew and Cleo Golik, Olive Larson, Ronald and Pat Larson, and uncles James Golik, Matthew Golik Jr. and Joseph Larson.
The Family is holding a private service for Wesley.
