Wesley McAtee

Wesley passed away on February 3rd surrounded by his family at his favorite place, his home. He was born December 20, 1945 to James and Mamie McAtee in Ogden, Utah.

He served in the United States Navy Seabee's during the Vietnam war from 1965 until 1967. He married Darlene Loy on April 5, 1968; together they had three son's: Timothy, Sean (Sarah), Kelly (Elizabeth) McAtee. He graduated from Weber State University with an associate degree and retired after 46 years of working at Cereal Food Processor.

Wes was a practicing Catholic at St. Joseph Church where he was an usher and Eucharistic Minister for many years.

He loved Weber State Basketball, horse racing and baseball but he adored his three grandchildren: Zac, Eden and Ellie, they were the light of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, and survived by one brother, Richard McAtee.

We want to give a special thanks to Frank Loy, his brother-in-law, who went above and beyond caring for him.

There will be a celebration of Wesley's life at a later date when it's safer to gather. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Weber County Animal Shelter or the Catholic Community Services.
