Wesley Brent Moore, a cherished son, beloved grandson, devoted father, and beloved friend, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 6, 2025, at the age of 30. Born on April 26, 1995, in Wake County, Wesley lived a vibrant life marked by his enthusiasm for the world around him.
Funeral service will take place on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson, officiated by Rev. Rodney Landtroop. Burial will follow the service at Lakeside Memorial Gardens in Angier.
Wesley was known for his zest for life; he truly lived life to the fullest. He found joy in simple pleasures, particularly fishing, which allowed him to connect with nature and spend cherished moments with family and friends. An innate helper, Wesley was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, showcasing his genuinely kind spirit.
Wesley’s creativity and knack for construction were evident as he liked to build things, finding satisfaction in bringing ideas to life. His love for creating and sharing experiences only deepened his connections with those around him.
He is survived by his mother, Shannon Gomez, and her husband, Jamie; his precious son, Myles Moore; brothers, Austin Barefoot and Zack Upton; sister, Autumn Barefoot; maternal grandmother, Delores Bebber and her husband, Donald; a special friend, Raymond Barefoot; grandmother, Sue Barefoot; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins, who will all deeply miss his presence.
Wesley was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Wade Moore and Lloyd Barefoot.
Visitation for Wesley will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
Wesley Brent Moore leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity, reminding all who knew him of the importance of living fully and helping others along the way. His spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of those lucky enough to have known him.
