Wesley F. Murrell

Wesley F. Murrell, 74-year-old resident of Little Falls, MN, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at his residence.

Funeral service held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 11:00 A.M., with Dave Sperstad officiating, at the Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls, MN. Visitation held at the Shelley Funeral Chapel from 9:00-11:00 on Friday, November 15, 2024. Burial at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls. Caring for Wes and his family is the LeMieur Funeral Home in Little Falls.

Wesley Murrell was born on June 7, 1950, in Minneapolis, MN to Gerald and Clarice (Froehlich) Murrell. He grew up in the Minneapolis area with his mother and step-father, George Froehlich. He was a graduate of Fridley High School. After graduation, Wesley enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served 4 years. He then served in the Army National Guard as a helicopter mechanic. His military service spanned 31 years. In addition to his honorable military service, Wesley worked for the state of Minnesota for 36 years.

Wes' favorite hobby was his love for riding motorcycles, especially his Harley Davidson. He was an excellent mechanic and from a young age he loved to build race cars. He enjoyed racing in his younger days, his love for fast cars stayed with him well after he retired.

He was adored and loved by all of his children, grandchildren, and wife, Cindy. He never met a stranger and would offer a smile or kind gesture to all who knew him.

Wesley is survived by his wife, Cindy Murrell; sons, Joseph Murrell and Troy Langer; daughters, Crystal Teel and Kimberly Mueller; and seven grandchildren.

Wesley was preceded in death by his mother, Clarice Froehlich; step-father, George Froehlich; father George Murrell; son, Scott Langer and sister, Roxanne Jacob.
