Obituary of Weston E Eldridge
Weston Everett Eldridge was born on June 27, 2024.
Weston left this world unexpectedly in his sleep on November 17, 2024.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2024 at the Gay and Ciha Funeral Home in Iowa City. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Weston was born at 9lbs and 6oz. In fact, everything about Weston is big. He has big emotions and an even bigger personality. He even has the nickname 'Big Guy". Everything is on 'Weston Time'. He knows what he wants and when, but he can be patient when he decides. Weston likes things his own way.
Weston's parents are his favorite. He loves doing everything with them. He loves playing 'monster' with his dad, and listening to mom read "funny stories". Weston knows dad is always ready for fun, and that mom knows when it is time to get down to business. He loves going for car rides and taking adventures to new and unknown places. Weston loves the outdoors. He loves looking at plants, soaking up sun beams, and looking out windows. The only thing Weston seems to dislike is his puppy, Oliver- when Oliver decides to steal attention. Puppy kisses to Weston are often met with furrowed brows, especially if it is more than one lick.
Weston is a beacon of light in many lives. A goofy and silly little boy, Weston always has a smile on his face. It is that beautiful smile that can light up any room, his eyes always full of curiosity. Weston radiates pure joy and innocence. Weston is forever the perfect baby.
Weston is survived by his mother, Chloe, his father, Aaron; his grandparents: Barb, Steve, Lana, and Doug; his aunts, Amber (Jason) Alex, and Makayla. As well as many other friends and family.

"I don't think anyone can ever prepare to write something like. Nothing will ever feel like the right thing to say or what to even say at all. Weston was like no other. I swear he thought the faster he could grow, the more he could be right there with us doing the same things we were. If dad was doing it, he was doing it. If mom was saying yes, he was shaking his head yes, too. Dad was fun, mom was for approval. That's just how we were as a family, always having fun and pulling pranks, from the dog to the baby. It may have been a short four and a half months, but if you ask anyone, we lived those days like it was our last. The stories and memories we hold in our heart are incredible and ongoing. We will be watching the birds and pulling pranks just for you. Thank you for showing us what life is about. We all love you so much sweetheart."
