Weston Lee “Pancho, Chief, Boss, Poppa Bop” Serrano passed away on December 13, 2025, in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of 81 with his family by his side. He was born on August 17, 1944, in Vernal, Utah. Weston lived a life defined by hard work, deep faith, and unwavering devotion to his family.
From an early age, Weston demonstrated a tireless work ethic that became a hallmark of his life. After working in various roles early in his career, he found his stride behind the wheel of a hotshot truck. His drive and determination ultimately led him to establish his own oilfield and trucking company. Alongside his beloved wife, Patsy, and their daughters and sons-in-law, Weston poured his heart into building Westroc—a family-run business that stands today as a testament to their shared dedication, perseverance, and love.
Weston was a man of many passions. A true car enthusiast, he had a special love for classic cars and took great pride in collecting and rebuilding them, always with an eye for speed and craftsmanship. Weekends often found him at drag strips or car shows, surrounded by family and the roar of engines. These moments were more than hobbies; they were cherished times spent with those he loved most.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Weston served faithfully in many callings throughout his life. His love for his Father in Heaven and his Savior, Jesus Christ, guided his actions and shaped the way he treated others—with kindness, humanity, and quiet strength.
Above all else, Weston’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He made it known every day how deeply he loved each one of them. His legacy lives on through the strong bonds he nurtured and the values he instilled in generations who will carry his example forward.
Weston is survived by his loving wife, Patsy; daughters Westona (Bruce) Horrocks and Sonja Serrano (Chad Hooks); sisters LaRee (Dennis) Henline and Debra (Jim) Fulkerson; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Relva Serrano; brothers Doug, Gary, and Lonnie Serrano; grandparents Lenard and Cynthia Cook and Leanardo and Eva Serrano; and his in-laws, Patrick and Wanda Lopez.
Weston Lee Serrano leaves behind a legacy built on faith, family, hard work, and horsepower. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Weston loved his Westroc Family, Old Men Tea Party at 7-11 Ranch, All his Car Friends and Friends.
