Weston Gabriel “Wes” Trahan, 86, of Lake Charles passed away at 7:53 AM on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 in his residence.
Mr. Trahan was born in Kaplan on January 16, 1938. He attended Kaplan High School until moving to Lake Charles in 1955 where he attended LaGrange High School. Mr. Trahan dedicated 27 years of his life to the automotive industry, working as a salesman for Bolton Ford.
He was a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church and was involved in his community. He served as past commander of the Calcasieu Boat Club and as past president of the Greater Gulf Coast Boating Association.
An avid traveler, Mr. Trahan had a passion for exploring new places. He also enjoyed playing pool and, most importantly, cherished spending quality time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 43 years, Anita Trahan of Lake Charles; his children, Mitchell Trahan of Atlanta, GA, Cynthia Comer of Philadelphia, MS, and Chrissy Lindenman (Donnie) of Lake Charles; daughter in law, Renee Trahan of Arizona; grandchildren, Justin Comer (Danielle), Allison Ortego, Alyssa Trahan, Trent Trahan, Quinn Trahan, Mia Lindenman, and Alexis Lindenman; and numerous great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Noami and Sarazin Trahan; sons, Guy Weston Trahan and Brian Coit; and five siblings.
A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Monsignor Harry Greig will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and will continue on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until leaving for the church at 12:30 PM.
