Weta Hayden Obituary

Weta was employed for over 40 years as a Supreme Court Reporter, retiring from the NYS Supreme Court, 5th Judicial District in Oswego, NY. She was an active member of Sweet Adelines, while singing for the Spirit of Syracuse and the Sound of Silver choruses. Weta was also a very active member of King of Kings Lutheran Church. She is predeceased by her brother, H. Connell Raate.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving partner of 43 years, Barbara J. Winkel of Baldwinsville; sister-in-law, Marti Raate of Clay, NY; a niece, nephew and several grand nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm in the King of Kings Lutheran Church, 8278 Oswego Road, Liverpool, NY 13090 with funeral services to follow at 2:00 pm. Burial will take place at a future date in Chase Cemetery in Phoenix, NY.
Contributions in Weta's memory can be made to King of Kings Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
