Wilber Lee Barton, age 80, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on November 20th, 2025, at CoxHealth Medical Center South. He was born February 28th, 1945, in Springfield, MO, the son of James and Loral (Alexander) Barton.

Wilber served in the United States Army from 1962 to 1965 as a track mechanic in Germany. He spent the majority of his life as a mechanic and a truck driver. He worked as a mechanic for Dennis Oil Company in Springfield, MO until he retired in 2024.

Wilber enjoyed going to swap meets, auctions, garage sales and thrift stores, always looking for a bargain. He loved listening to records on his record player and watching reruns of country western shows and M*A*S*H. There were lots of memories made over biscuits and gravy at Hardee's.

Wilber was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, four brothers and his wife Thelma.

He is survived by one sister, Margie, his daughter, Angela (husband Frank), his son Tony, and his daughter Joye (husband Jason), ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cherished friends.

There will be a visitation and service starting at 11:00am on Friday, November 28th, 2025 at Greenlawn North Funeral Home. Following the service, there will be a graveside service at the Greenlawn North Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a living plant, or donations to dementia research: dementiasociety.charityproud.org.
