John Wesley Jackson, a lifelong resident of Springfield, Missouri, left this life on November 23, 2025, due to complications from a traumatic brain injury he sustained after being hit while riding his motorcycle many years ago. He was born on December 11, 1952, in Springfield to Bobbie Strobe (West) and George Bingham and was a graduate of Glendale High School. He served in both the U.S Army and U.S Navy.

John was a charismatic man, with a full head of hair that grabbed your attention when he bounced into a room and the personality to match! He lived his life to the fullest, was a loyal friend to those he cherished, and always managed to find humor in things, despite obstacles he faced after he was injured. He owned and operated a lawncare business for many years and loved to "Give the grass a little haircut" whenever it needed one! He was meticulous about keeping things in order, and his truck, his Harley and his home and property were clear proof of that. John had a presence that couldn't be ignored and will never be forgotten. We love you, John Michael John!

John is survived by his beloved friend and partner of 21 years, Heather Brown, a close circle of dear friends, and many others whom he met along the way and who miss him dearly.

A service will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 South Southwood Road, Springfield, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to Toys for Tots or one of your choices would be a nice tribute to John's life and his time spent here.
