Wilbert Engle Obituary
Born on the family farm in Jacksonville, he was the son of the late Walter and Charlotte. He was also predeceased by his granddaughter Ashlee.
Wilbert is survived by his wife of 64 years, Georgeann; his daughters April and her partner Todd; Margie and her husband Steve.
Wilbert was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville. He was actively farming until age 80, when he decided "it" wasn't that much fun anymore.
He participated in many community organizations, including the Jacksonville Fire Company and the Jacksonville Community Center.
He enjoyed activities related to farming such as attending farm and tractor shows, reading the Lancaster Farmer and taking many trips to Lancaster. He was a member of the Central Jersey Tractor Pullers.
Those who knew him could count on him to fix or repair anything and lend an ear. He could be found in his garage or on the porch with his friends and family.
Wilbert requested a private ceremony. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Jacksonville Community Center or to the Jacksonville Fire Company.
