Born in Wayne Co., "Pete" as he was affectionately called by family and friends is the son of the late Bessie Garner.
He was known for his excellent skills in auto body repair.
In addition to his mother, he has been reunited with his sisters, Dorothy G. Alexander and Pearline G, Hill.
Cherished memories will linger in the hearts of his wife, Ellen Stringfield Garner; five children, Bobby Stringfield, Wilbert Earl Garner Jr., Jimmy Garner, Patricia A. Garner and Troy Garner; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren; siblings, Davis Garner, Willie Garner and Sally Garner and a host of nieces, nephews, sisters-and brothers-in-law, cousins and friends.
