Graveside services were held Friday, November 14, 2014 at Idalou Cemetery for Wilda Elizabeth Bartlett, 91. She was born in Ringgold, Texas October 2, 1923 to Charlie and Luella Pearl (Davis) Whorton. She enjoyed making handstitched quilts for her family and collecting windmill memorabilia. She also loved playing domino games with family and friends.
She worked as a technician for Texas Instruments for 20 years and was a resident of Idalou for 48 years. Her last eleven years was spent in Arizona City, Arizona near family.
Wilda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ira Bartlett; and two brothers, Ralph and Russell Whorton.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby and Lou Bartlett of Arizona, Charles and Jeannè Bartlett of Stayton, Oregon and Joe Bartlett of Lubbock; one brother, Charlie Whorton and Janet of Idalou; 6 grandchildren, Jeff Bartlett, Mike and Heather Bartlett, Brandi (Bartlett) and Trever Elmer, Chad and Jennie Bartlett, Brett and Mary Bartlett, Shawn and Melin Bartlett; 11 great-grandchildren, Blake, Kelsey, Nolan and Zane Bartlett, Kyle and Mandi Elmer, Chevelle, Elijah and Waylon Bartlett, Nathan and Ethan Bartlett.
