Im very saddened by the loss of my dear friend. I met Jarrett about 15 years ago when he first started working at Loris Middle School. We immediately hit it off and it felt like we'd known each other forever. Jarrett was a very solid person. He was a lot of fun, he geuinely cared about others, and he was very wise. I loved his "Jersey" accent and he coined a lot of phrases that I quickly copied and will continue to use (along with other co-worker friends bc several of us copied him, lol). He loved to travel and never got stressed out when his mode of transportation changed. Sometimes he would travel by plane, train, and bus all in the same trip in order to stay on his itinerary in regards to time and place. He loved working at Loris Middle School. He loved his job, the kids, and his coworkers. He was good to the kids and he was good FOR the kids. He loved his family, both near and far. But his love for his mother was extraordinary and very admirable. He would call her from school and say, "Hey girl, what you doing?" He was always planning ahead to make sure her needs were met and he made sure to keep her in good spirits. I miss Jarrett very much and will always keep his memory alive. My thoughts and prayers are with his beautiful family and abundance of friends.
