Wilbur Lee "Will" Barnhart,
Age 88, of Wilmington, Ohio, passed away Saturday afternoon October 5, 2024 at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born February 3, 1936 in Cincinnati, son of the late Homer Hensel & Celeste Ellen (Garner) Barnhart. On January 21, 1984 in Columbus, Ohio, he married Donna Lee Richmond Barnhart, who survives.
Will had attended The Ohio State University in the Agricultural Sciences and had worked as a Marketing Director in the Agribusiness for 20 years, then at the Pinkerton Detective Agency for 12 years, and finally with the Burns Detective Agency for 12 years. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Wilmington, the Antique Power Club of Clinton County, a former member of the Canal Winchester Lions Club, and had been active in 4-H throughout his life..
In addition to his wife, other surviving family members are his sons- Eric (Michele) Barnhart of Wake Forest, NC & David Edmondson of Dunsmuir, CA; daughter- Susan (Richard) Strang of Santa Fe, NM; grandchildren- Aaron Lee Barnhart & Joanne Michele Barnhart; brothers- Joe (Judy) Barnhart of Sebring, FL, & Ben Barnhart of Los Alamos, NM.
In addition to his parents, Will was preceded in death by his former wives- Joanne Hoffman Barnhart & Carol Edmondson Barnhart.
Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, October 14, 2024 at the Faith Lutheran Church, 421 East Vine Street, Wilmington, with Pastor Joel Richter officiating. Interment will be in the Lithopolis Cemetery, Canal Winchester, Ohio at the family's convenience.
A gathering of friends will be from 10:30 until the time of services at the church on Monday. The Fisher-Edgington Funeral Home, Wilmington has been entrusted with the arrangements.
