Will Jackson 62, of South Bend, IN, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, at the Hospice Care Center following a brief illness. He had been surrounded by family and was sent home to the Lord in love.
Born May 3, 1962, in West Memphis Arkansas to Jim and Earnestine (Hodges) Jackson, he was the eighth of their eleven children. The family moved to Waukegan, IL where he lived until after graduation. He then traveled a bit before settling down in the South Bend area where other family members were located.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jim and Earnestine Jackson, brothers Jimmy Lee, Earnest, James and Henry Jackson and Chris Hodges.
He is survived by his fiancé Linda Pullen, sons Will L. and Terrance of Ft. Wayne, IN, sister Margarestine (Perry) Jackson-Bell of Waukegan, IL, brothers Casey (Eileen) Jackson of Walkerton, IN., Charles and Michael Jackson of South Bend, IN., Robert (Karen) Jackson of Huntsville, AL., and Dwayne Hodges of Waukegan, IL., two grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins that will miss him greatly.
Will retired early from Notre Dame as a custodian due to health reasons. He had a lifelong love for restoring and working on cars. He was always there to help someone in need.
In following with his wishes, he will be cremated with a private family memorial service.
