Willa Mae Queen, 95, of Sylva, passed away Wednesday morning August 30, 2023.
A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Will and Ethel Crisp. Willa Mae was a member of Lovedale Baptist Church, she enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves Baseball games, the Carolina Tar Heels Basketball games, fixing her garden or just spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Clyde Queen, and her daughter Brenda.
She is survived by her son; Billy Queen of Sylva
3 Grandsons; Matt (Hope), Tim (Meghan) and Adam (Natasha) Queen
2 Great Granddaughters; Madison and Matia Queen
5 Great Grandsons; Tyler, Bryce, Rhett, Michael and Jacob Queen
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Monday September 4, 2023 in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Services with Dr. Matt Queen officiating
