Willard Mechling Obituary
Willard L. Mechling, age 78, of Amanda, passed away on September 17, 2025. He was born in Columbus, OH to Wilmer and Frances ( Schwartz) Mechling. He was a graduate of Columbus Central High School. Willard worked most of his adult life as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing and working in his garage and garden.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty (Spaulding) Mechling; daughters, Sharon Merrill, of Amanda and Valerie Mechling, of Amanda; grandchildren, Matthew, Sonya, Trevor (Alexis Hemsworth), and Brian; great granddaughter, Ava, and Zach; brother, Paul (Patty) Mechling, of West Jefferson, as well as many niece and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service will be at 11am on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at Taylor-Theller Funeral Home, 111 W. Main St, Amanda, OH 43113. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will follow at Spaulding Family Cemetery, Crum, WV.
Friends may make memorial contributions to Fairhope Hospice, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, OH 43130
