Willem Begemann Obituary
Pittsford: Willem L. Begemann passed away on April 16, 2024, at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Charlotte Begemann, as well as his siblings Wilma and Charles.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 62 years, Jeane Begemann, his loving children, Spencer (Kathleen) Begemann and Michael (Michele) Begemann and his cherished grandchildren in the United States: Anthony, Grace, Luke, and Owen Begemann. Additionally, he is survived by two daughters Christa and Jolanda, six grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one cousin Anthony (Tone) Begemann in The Netherlands. He also leaves behind brothers-in-law Ferry Kooijmans, Hart Kooymans and Wayne Callahan, nieces, nephews, and numerous dear friends.
Willem was born and educated in Indonesia and The Netherlands. He served in the Air Force in The Netherlands before immigrating to the United States in 1961. He dedicated over 55 years of his life to work and now his hardworking, loving hands are finally at rest.
An enthusiast of World Cup Soccer, English Soccer, and USA Soccer, Willem himself was an avid soccer player and served as a goalie in the Dutch Soccer League in Rochester, NY. He also passionately coached the Chili Youth Soccer teams and enjoyed watching ice hockey and the Olympics. Willem and Jeane also loved to take cruise vacations to the Caribbean islands.

Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Wednesday, May 1st, at 2:00 PM in the All Seasons Chapel of White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Road, Pittsford, NY. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450 in his memory. [Donate Online]
