Willia Hoffman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Carnes Brothers Funeral Home on Dec. 9, 2025.
Willia Mae (Billie) Hoffman entered eternal life Sunday, December 7, 2025, after a yearlong journey with dementia. Funeral services are 12:00 noon Friday, December 12, 2025, at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home beginning at 9:00am.

Billie was born September 4, 1930 in Galveston, Texas to Robert Lee Gonderson and Mary Louise Lester Gonderson. She maintained spunk and vitality for her life of 95 years! Billie loved to be active and work in her home and the homes of others. Billie spent her early years making a home for her husband and family. As a dedicated wife, mother, and daughter; she spent years taking care of her children, parents, and grandchildren.

Outside of family and friends, Billie was an avid Astros baseball fan. She loved to watch, listen to, and talk about the game of baseball! Other hobbies included: cleaning, shopping, sewing, bowling, and playing bingo.

She married her late husband, Howard Hoffman Sr and raised two children: Debbie Tull and Howard Hoffman Jr. Her children blessed her with four grandchildren: Robert Tull Jr, Keith Tull, Cody Hoffman, and Loren Smider. Five great grandchildren: Blayne Tull, Paige Tull, Noah Tull, Ethan Tull, and Nova Tull. Her blessings were multiplied with the addition of great-great granddaughter Astrid Tull earlier this year. She is also survived by her sister Bobbie Pearson as well as many nieces and nephews.

Billie is preceded in death by husband Howard Hoffman Sr, sisters Edith Holmes and Opal Habluetzel.

Pallbearers are Robert Tull, Jr., Keith Tull, Nova Tull, Blayne Tull, Cody Hoffman and Loren Smider.
