ADAM, William Robert "Bill" Born on December 7, 1979, passed away on January 1, 2026, in Boston, Massachusetts, surrounded by his family and several close friends. Our time with Bill is like one of his photographs - a moment that stays with us. He was a professional photographer, a restorer of old cars, a fixer of screen porches, an encyclopedia of random facts, and a lover of classic rock music. He golfed, played guitar, served in the Air Force, and cheered for Ferrari's F1 team every race day. Bill graduated from Bishop Fenwick High School in 1998 and was a lifelong learner, completing coursework at UMass Lowell, Salem State University, and the Art Institute of Boston. He seemed to know something about everything, making him a magnet for connection and conversation. Bill could go anywhere and talk to anyone about anything. Bill is survived by his wife, Katherine McCord of Boston, Massachusetts and her family: parents, Michael and Elisabeth; brother, Matthew and his wife and children, Sarah, Violet and Blaze. Bill met Katherine, the love of his life, in 2023. They quickly fell in love and knew right away they'd found what they'd been searching for. In their South End home, Bill was the neighborhood greeter, always on the steps waiting for Katherine. They traveled New England - from Lake Ossipee to Martha's Vineyard - and shortly before their wedding, fulfilled Bill's dream of seeing Oasis live at Wembley. On September 20, 2025, they married on a perfect late-summer day in the Seaport, surrounded by friends and family. Happiness radiated from them throughout the day. Though their time together was short, they always made the most of it. Their days were filled with love, adventures, and dreams of future travels. Bill is also survived by his parents, Bob and Kathy Adam of Peabody Massachusetts; his brothers and their wives, Kevin and Lisa, Brian and Katerina and Bobby and Giavanna; as well as his nephews, Charlie, Rowen, Cole, Bennett and Noah. Bob and Kathy were Bill's strongest supporters and closest allies. Bill and his dad cherished their annual trips to the SEMA car show, as well as the concerts and shows they caught along the way. Bill shared countless adventures with his mom, from trips to Foxwoods to touring Boston and enjoying lunch at Cheers. Kevin, Brian, and Bobby benefited from growing up watching Bill be unapologetically himself, which encouraged them to pursue what interested them most as well. Bill will be missed by many - those close and those he met briefly along the way. Like one of his photographs, we remember him warmly. The next time you see a sunset over the Zakim Bridge, or the reflection off the chrome of a classic car, think of Bill, who taught us all to notice moments worth capturing. There will be a Celebration of Bill's Life on February 22, 2026, at 2 p.m., at Artists for Humanity, 100 West 2nd Street, Boston, MA 02127.
