William R. Allen, Sr., 85, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born on August 5, 1939, in La Porte, IN, to William and Rachel (Willson) Allen.
William is survived by his 4 sons, Rick (Sylvia) Allen of La Porte, Randy (Eric Wooden) Allen of Indian Rocks, FL, Rodney Allen of La Porte, and Ray (Jill) Allen of La Porte; grandchildren, Jennifer Allen, Joshua Allen, Laura Allen, Roberto Allen, José Allen, Dustin Allen, Tiffany Allen, Ryan Kurtz, Jason (Candice) Allen, Rodney C. Allen, II, Brandon William Allen, Megan Kathleen Allen, Andrew Allen, Ava Allen, and Aidan Allen; great-grandchildren, Brooks, Clover, Taylor, Madison, Jake, and Arianna; brothers, Dave Allen of Portland, OR and Jack (Hester) Allen of La Porte; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wives; Beverly Allen, Marge Allen, and Janet Allen.
William was the previous president of National Products and always worked as an landscape architect. He was a member of the La Porte Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he faithfully served for many years, in various roles. William loved to travel, visiting friends and family.
He will be fondly remembered for how he enjoyed helping others. William was generous with his time and talents. He touched the lives of many.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at La Porte Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Wayne Morris officiating.
A time of visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Sunday at the church. Cremation will take place following the service. Private burial at Pine Lake Cemetery will take place at a later date.
Memorial donations may be made to the La Porte Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1480 Boyd Blvd., La Porte, IN 46350.
