William "Kenneth" Allen, 84, of Milton, FL, passed away on August 1, 2025, in Milton. He was born February 21, 1941, in Milton, FL, to the late Paul and Mary Allen.
Kenneth was raised in DeFuniak Springs, FL, until 9th grade, when his family returned to Milton. He graduated from Milton High School and went to work with Greenhut Candy Company. Kenneth married Sharon McCary Allen in 1961. In 1970, he went to work with United Parcel Service as one of the first Feeder Truck drivers at the Pensacola site. He drove for them for 30 years and retired in 2000. After retirement, Kenneth and Sharon lived many years on Paradise Island in Milton where Kenneth served as honorary Mayor. He was best known for his quick wit and always had a good comeback line. They enjoyed time with family, especially his grandchildren and friends. He spent his final years in their new home in Bagdad, FL.
Kenneth is survived by a loving family including his wife of 64 years, Sharon McCary Allen; daughters, Cindi Allen Gerken and Kathy Allen Mills (Reg); grandchildren, Chase Gerken (Kendra), Loren Gerken Otero (Thomas), and Matthew Mills; and great-grandson, Thomas "T" Otero.
