Williams J. Alsentzer, Jr. of Scottsdale, Arizona, age 83, passed away on October 11, 2025.
He is survived by daughter Lesley Chamberlain and her husband Paul of Phoenix, daughter Michele Thompson and her husband Gary of Tucson, grandchildren Reese and Berkeley Chamberlain and Grant and Lauren Thompson.
Bill was born March 15, 1942 in Ravenna, Ohio, graduated from Duke University (A.B. 1964) and Duke School of Law (J.D. 1966), and practiced law in Wilmington, Delaware (1966-1979) and in Phoenix, Arizona as Executive V.P.-General Counsel to Baptist Hospitals and Health Systems (1979-2000) and most recently, as Legal Counsel to BHHS Legacy Foundation. He was a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel and American Health Lawyers Association and also one of the founders in 2005 of Arizona Origin Science Association, Inc, its legal counsel, and author of "A Lawyer States the Case for Creation by Intelligent Design & Against Darwinism."
Other interests included traveling with his long-time companion, Christina Clark, to Africa, Europe, and the Americas as well as spending time with his family in his part-time home in Rocky Point, Mexico.
A private service will be held at Chaparral Christian Church in Scottsdale, Arizona in late November. Please contact the family for details.
