William "Bill" Ralph Anderson, 82, of Farina, passed away at his home on September 25th, 2025. He was born on June 11th, 1943, in Farina, to Ralph and Elizabeth (Gillespie) Anderson. He would marry the love of his life, Peggy Ann Clark, on September 12th, 1964, at the Moon Run Presbyterian Church in Pennsylvania, and they would spend an amazing 61 years together. He is survived by his wife: Peggy Anderson of Farina; 4 daughters: Leslie (Steve) Sutter of Shumway, Illinois, Lisa (Bradley) Heilenman of Culpeper, Virginia, Jennifer Anderson of Charleston, Illinois, and Jill (John) Branyan of Decatur, Illinois; and two grandsons: Benjamin Heilenman and Timothy Heilenman of Culpeper, Virginia; and sister Myrna Hill. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ralph and Elizabeth Anderson; and sister: Connie Sunda. Bill was a proud Veteran of the US Air Force during the Vietnam war. He was a member of the American Legion. He was a lifelong member of the Farina United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Massey Collectors of Illinois tractor club. He loved to take trips with Peggy on trains where they would travel all over the United States, which fulfilled his love of travel. He enjoyed doing puzzles in his spare time. Bill was always supportive of the local school sports, as he would attend as many games as he could to cheer on the local kids. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 30th, 2025, at 11:00 am at the Farina United Methodist Church in Farina, Illinois, with Pastor Kevin Kriesel officiating. Burial to follow at the Farina Cemetery. A time of visitation time will be held from 9:30 am till the time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Farina American Legion or the Farina United Methodist Church and will be accepted at the service or at Sutherland-Rankin Funeral Home, PO Box 97, Salem, Illinois, 62881, who is honored to help Bill's family at this time.
