William Erle "Bill" Ash, age 70, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Friday, February 2, 2024 at Mercy Hospital Cassville in Cassville, Missouri.
He was born August 13, 1953 in Cassville, Missouri the son of William Thomas and Muriel (McGaughey) Ash, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were an uncle and aunt Erle and Rachel Rush.
Surviving are one sister, Kathy Meyer and her husband Stan of Fort Worth, Texas; one nephew, Steve Meyer and his wife Melissa of Fort Worth, Texas; one great nephew, Avery Meyer of College Station, Texas and special friends, Alvida Phelps of Cassville, Missouri and Tim Phelps of Cassville, Missouri.
Bill grew up and attended school in Cassville, Missouri graduating from Cassville High School later attending Southwest Missouri State in Springfield, Missouri earning a bachelor's degree. He was employed by several Missouri State Parks and retired as the assistant superintendent at Roaring River State Park in Cassville. Bill enjoyed outdoor activities, canoeing, kayaking, riding 4 wheelers and riding his Harley. He loved every pet he had through the years, especially his dog River. Bill was a member of United Methodist Church in Cassville.
A private graveside service was held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, February 5, 2024 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville, Missouri, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
Contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice in memory of Bill.
