Joan Cooper
July 18, 2022
This is Bill´s sisterBetty Joan (Joann) with a great love for her little brother. Shirley ( the other sister) and I enjoyed such activities as going to the ice plant in downtown Whiteville where we enjoyed seeing our family get ice for our family icebox when we lived on Clay and Franklin Streets. The post office was another fun place to go; it was there Shirley and I signed his name as a candidate for military service when he was probably four years old. I thought my husband Corbin Cooper would see him more when we moved to Ocean Isle Beach but we couldn´t get him to go to his favored Lake Waccamaw which as young children we went by train.
