William Boyd Barnett, 73, of Rogersville, passed away on March 13, 2025, at Signature Healthcare of Rogersville following a courageous battle with Parkinson’s. A Morristown native, William was born on March 1, 1952, and was a graduate of Morristown West. From 16 to 19 years old he was a boxer who competed in Golden Glove Boxing tournaments in Knoxville. He traveled all over the country as a truck driver for most of his career. William was an avid sports fan, especially for the Lady Vols during their prime. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play ball the most.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd Cline and Gladys Needham.
William is survived by his son, Scott Barnett; and grandchildren, Tyler Barnett, Victoria Barnett, and Bryson Barnett.
Services will be private.
