William (Bill) Becker of Lexington, SC died at 73 on June 13, 2022. Bill passed away peacefully after a long battle with Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. While our hearts are sad that he's gone, we know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.
Bill was born in Bryson City, NC on November 9, 1948. He is predeceased by his son, Adam Becker, his mother, Genevieve Becker, his father, Johnny Becker and his stepmother, Helen Becker. He has left behind his wife of 49 years, Susan Becker, his daughter, Tara McCarty (Arch), his daughter-in-law, Toni Becker, his sister, Shirley Jones (Bob), his brothers, Eddie Becker (Donna) and John Becker, four grandchildren, Ada Becker, Spencer McCarty, Ruth Ann McCarty, Tripp McCarty and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held July 9, 2022 at 11 AM at Mt. Horeb UMC, 1205 Old Cherokee Road, Lexington, SC 29072. Viistiation will be held prior to the service at 10 AM.

I've just now learned about Bill's death, and I'm so sorry to see that it was more than a year and a half ago. I met Bill only once, and that was in September of 2006 when he and Susan Ulsenheimer Becker, (my third cousin via the Ulsenheimer branch of our tree), visited us in Gainesville, Florida. It sounds like Bill had many health challenges in the later years of his life, so my sympathy goes out to the family who no doubt provided support to him during those times.
I thought people might want to see this photo of him with Susan when they were here in 2006.

Bill was a fiercely devoted client and good friend. We shared many horse adventures together and always came out laughing. He was so devoted to and proud of his family. It was refreshing to see.
When Bill came to the clinic with one of the dogs or cats( and sometimes a horse) you always knew he was there as he announced " I´m Bill Becker and I need help with my animal". I miss hearing that.
Susie, you were his world, his strength and his " beauty queen". Tara, he loved and respected you so much. And Toni, you were his daughter( not just by marriage) and his friend. It is comforting to know he and Adam are together again
I am truly sorry he is gone for many reasons but confident he is in heaven watching over us.
