Irene F. Becker (93) of rural Robinson, passed away October 30, 2025.

She was born at Effingham, Kansas, June 22, 1932, one of four children born to Ernest and Margaret Burg Falk.

Irene graduated from Effingham High School. She was a lifelong homemaker and a dedicated quilt maker. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, and was active in her Church life, St. Anns Catholic Church of Hiawatha.

She married Emmett Becker on January 19, 1954. He preceded her in death November 2005. She was also preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Laurence, Mary and Marjorie and her husband.

She is survived by her children Judy Jacobs, Charles, Ralph and Ernest Becker, Connie Ingwerson, and Tracy Vonderschmidt. She leaves behind five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, at St. Anns Catholic Church in Hiawatha, with Father Michael Kantanka as the celebrant. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Leona.

Friends may call at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Hiawatha after 10 a.m. Monday until 4 p.m. The Rosary will be recited at St. Anns Church at 6 p.m. Monday, followed by the family visiting with friends until 8 p.m.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Pleasant Hill Cemetery Upkeep Fund sent in care of the funeral home, 124 S Seventh Street, Hiawatha 66434.
