MILLBURY/UXBRIDGE – William P. Bedord, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 28th in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
William’s wife of 57 years, Charlotte A. (Pierce) Bedord passed in 2022. Bill leaves his three daughters, Amy Sharron, Charlene Stolberg and Christine Chapulis; three grandchildren, Gianna Beaupre, Katelyn Stolberg and Andrew Stolberg; a great granddaughter, Aurora Charlotte Beaupre. He is predeceased by his parents, William R. and Elaine E. (Hellstrom) Bedord.
Bill worked in the banking industry for over 50 years. His first role was at Worcester County National Bank at the age of 18 counting checks at night and he worked in various roles over the decades, including six bank mergers and in senior leadership positions. Bill also co-founded Bize Realty with his wife and helped operate Charlotte Bedord Realty with his realtor license still being active at the time of his death. He was a Massachusetts Freemason and member of Olive Branch Lodge AF&AM for 54 years. He was a dedicated Mason and served in many roles, including Worshipful Master. In recognition of his service, he received his 50-year veterans medal in June 2022. He was also a proud active member of the Kate Smith Remembrance Society since 2000. Bill will be remembered for many things including his organ playing which lead to hour long sing-a-longs, his humor as well as being a mentor to many people in both his professional and personal life.
Most of all, Bill loved to spend time with family and friends, whether it was enjoying a meal out or better yet a day at the casino, he cherished those moments with the ones he loved especially the last few years.
Bill’s funeral service and burial will be private. There are no calling hours.
