WORCESTER – Thomas E. Howard, 77, passed away peacefully on March 7th, 2026, Rose Monahan Hospice Care.
Thomas leaves behind many cousins, including David Howard, Susan Steiner, Carolyn Howard-Hebert and her husband, Gary, Robert Howard, Charles Howard Jr, Kathleen Howard-Boggs and her husband, Brian, Arthur Howard, Portia Howard, and many others.
Thomas is predeceased by his parents, Harold and Alice Howard.
Thomas graduated from Millbury High School in 1966 and earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts. For over forty years, Thomas worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail sorter.
Thomas was a theatre enthusiast and visited New York City several times a year where he would attend Broadway shows. He was also an avid film lover and movie buff. Along with his love of film, was his love of music. Throughout high school and into his adult life, Thomas played the clarinet.
Thomas will be fondly remembered for his depth of knowledge and his sharp memory. A certified “talker,” he was known for his story telling and being able to recall the specifics of many dates throughout his life.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tom’s life by gathering for his Funeral Mass on Monday, March 16th at 11a.m. in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 1290 Grafton Street in Worcester, with burial to follow at St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
