While our hearts are completely broken, we know that heaven is rejoicing as William A. Belcher, "Bill," age 71, entered his eternal home in heaven with the Lord Jesus on May 27, 2025.
Bill was born on September 28, 1953, to Benny and Ruth Belcher. He received the Lord Jesus as His personal savior and was born again in 1982.
Bill married the love of his life, Margaret "Peggy" Testerman on May 26, 1979. They shared 46 wonderful years together.
He loved his wife Peggy and his children, Jason Belcher and Jinny Turner, with all his heart. He also loved his son and daughter-in-law, Josh Turner and Heather Belcher as his own children. His pride and joy was his three grandchildren, Preston Belcher and his wife Ashley, Madison Belcher, and Hannah Turner.
Bill was born in Princeton, West Virginia, and was a lifelong West Virginia Mountaineers fan, but lived the last 26 years in Elliston, Virginia, where he attended Seneca Baptist Church.
There are no words to describe how much Bill loved his family through his relationship with the Lord Jesus, his incredible work ethic, and the love and compassion he showed to everyone he met, he was truly a godly example. We will miss him dearly.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Benny and Ruth Belcher, and his father and mother-in-law, Fred "Odell" and Carolyn Testerman.
Left to cherish many memories are his brother, Donald, and wife Norma Belcher, sister Norma and husband Robert Radford, and sister Martha Belcher, along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Seneca Baptist Church, Elliston, Virginia. Visitation will be from 11-1:00 pm with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm.
