William Edgar Bensley, Sr. passed away on Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa. He was born on August 4, 1958, in Vinita to Edgar and Betty Mae (Kerr) Bensley-Beisly. Bill attended Vinita schools growing up. He enjoyed everything about motorcycles, riding them, working on them and building them, and was a Harley-Davidson man.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a baby brother David Ray Bensley; and brother in law Lonnie Spencer.

The family includes his son, William Edgar Bensley, Jr. and his daughter Brooke of Mannford; his brother, Gene Bensley and wife Victoria of Bluejacket, sister Laura Spencer of Vinita, and numerous other relatives.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel in Vinita.

The graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lewis Shawnee Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.highsmithfh.com or on the funeral home Facebook page. Arrangements are in the care of the Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral and Cremation Services of Vinita. "Vinita's only locally family owned and operated funeral home."
