William Micajah Berry III, "Bill" "Treis" "Berry" or "Bumpy" to his family and friends, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at age 43.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Friday, March 3, 2023, at Salem Lutheran Church in Brenham, TX.
Bill was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He appreciated people for their genuine selves. He loved simply and deeply, and that love was returned by the many whose lives he touched.
Bill will always be remembered for his kind heart, his practical approach to life, his adventurous spirit, and his devotion to his family and friends.
He was born to parents William Micajah Berry, Jr and Labana Gunn Berry on December 6, 1979 in Tampa, FL. An Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor member of the Order of the Arrow, Bill graduated from Oak Ridge High School in Conroe, TX in 1998. After graduation, Bill chased his dream to protect and serve, completing his Peace Officer training at the Texas A&M Engineering Extension (TEEX) Central Texas Police Academy and serving Burleson County then Washington County Sheriff's offices and becoming a member of the Los Carnales La Familia Nation. He later worked at Artex before serving the Round Top/Carmine community as a rural postal carrier.
A Master Mason of Graham Lodge No. 20 A.F. & A.M, Bill loved spending time in the kitchen or at the smoker, creating delicious gourmet meals for his family and friends. No one ever went hungry around Bill, being encouraged to have seconds and thirds. He loved riding the motorcycle with his Los Carnales La Familia brothers. Most weekends were spent cheering on his sons at their many sporting events. In his free time, he loved discovering Texas live music, burning bonfires in the backyard and enjoying the sunset from his back porch with his family.
Bill is survived by his loving wife Jenny Sebastian of Brenham, TX. Together, their blended family included 3 sons: William "Micajah" Berry IV, Zechariah "Zac" Lloyd, and Tucker Bruce Berry-Jordan. Bill is survived by his parents, Bill and Labana Berry; his sisters, Arwen Berry and Martha Berry; his mother and father-in-law, Sandra and Grover Sebastian; his brother-in-law, Josh Sebastian and wife Amanda and their daughter Adde; his sister-in-law, Julie Mock and husband Justin and their children Madi and McKinley; grandmothers Wilma Boeker and Marie Sebastian; Uncle Ed Berry and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Micajah Berry Sr. and Thelma "Brownie" Thatch Berry; Ruby Irene Jarvis Gunn and Denzal Clark Gunn.
Pallbearers are Jared Campbell, Blake Wilson, Mike Daley, Gus Pennison, Justin Royall, G.W. Meyer, Russell Fisher, Justin Mock and Josh Sebastian.
Honorary pallbearers include Michael Sproat, Andy Baldwin, James Tutt, the entire Los Carnales La Familia Nation and Graham Lodge #20 A.F. & A.M.
