Obituary for William L. "Bill" Biger
William L. Biger, known affectionately as Bill, was born on May 26, 1932, in Clayton, Delaware, and passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, at the age of 93 in Hartly, Delaware.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Biger; his daughter, Ada Todd, and son-in-law, Rick Todd; his cherished grandchildren, Angel Todd and Ricky Todd; and five beloved great-grandchildren.
Bill honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. He often spoke fondly of his time stationed in Japan, remembering the people, places, and travels that shaped his experiences. After his service, he dedicated many years to the Delaware Home and Hospital for the Chronically Ill, working in the maintenance department until his retirement. His steady hands and generous spirit reflected a lifelong commitment to serving others and ensuring their well-being.
Beyond his work, Bill's soul was deeply rooted in creativity and care. A gifted musician, he played multiple instruments and composed his own music. His melodies were matched by his love for the natural world, where he found joy in observing and protecting wildlife. He also held a special affection for his cats, who were his loyal companions. In his younger years, when not making music, Bill could often be found engineering and building quiet escapes in nature or crafting intricate woodworks in his home.
Bill will be remembered for his quiet strength, his gentle heart, and the joy he brought to those around him. His absence leaves a deep void, but his legacy of kindness, service, and music will continue to resonate with all who knew and loved him.
