Jennifer L. "Jen" Smith, age 51, of Smyrna, DE, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

Born in Wilmington, DE on December 30, 1974, she was a daughter of Harry E. Lewis and Joan (Tucker) Darsney. Jen made her career as a project manager at Bank of America for 28 years.

Jen always looked forward to her next vacation, whether she was going camping or on a cruise, she loved exploring somewhere new. She had an appreciation for cars and enjoyed going to car shows and watching NASCAR. Jen loved to bake and always had a special treat ready for her friends and family. She also enjoyed the simple things in life, like going out to dinner. Jen's most cherished moments were spent with her family whom she loved immensely.

Jen is survived by her loving husband, Samuel D. Smith Jr.; son, Justin D. Smith of Smyrna; mother, Joan Darsney; father, Harry Lewis; stepmother, Carol Lewis; sisters, Tracey Mayes (John) of Newark and Heather Foraker (Jared) of Sebring, FL; and nephews, Tyler and Dillon. She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Kenny Darsney.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 12 pm on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a funeral service will begin at 12 pm. Interment will follow in Old Drawyers Cemetery, 2839 DuPont Parkway, Middletown, DE.
