William Chinn, a soul whose vibrant spirit brightened every life he touched, left us too soon on June 12, 2025, at the young age of 50. Born on July 25, 1974, to Charles and Beverly (Doyle) Chinn, his life was a testament to passion, dedication, and boundless love.
Bill was a man driven by an unwavering flame—his love for his work, which he approached with a rare enthusiasm that inspired everyone around him. Whether under the hot sun or in the quiet of night, he remained dedicated to his role as an HVAC technician at Walmart, finding joy in every project he undertook. But above all, his greatest devotion was reserved for his beloved wife, Harley, whom he married on November 29, 2023, and his cherished family. His love for them was fierce, unshakeable, and everlasting.
His infectious laughter and warm, genuine spirit could light up any room. Bill had a rare gift—an ability to connect with others on a profound level. He never met a stranger; instead, he welcomed every new acquaintance with open arms and a generous heart. His kindness knew no bounds—he would go out of his way, sacrificing his own comfort to uplift and help those in need. Music was a pleasure to his soul—attending concerts, singing, & enjoying a good meal—these were his moments of pure joy, where his passion for life shone brightest, inspiring all who knew him.
Bill’s legacy lives on in the hearts of his wife, Harley Chinn; his children, Liam Chanley and Lance Chinn; his brothers and sisters, Warren Chinn (Angela), Cheryl Hunter, and Sheila Chinn; sisters-in-law, Fonya Chinn and Chelsea Lewis; brother-in-law, Jacob Lewis Sr., and a multitude of nieces and nephews whose lives he touched deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Beverly (Doyle) Chinn; his brother Scott Chinn; grandparents, George and Florence Chinn, William and Barbara Doyle; and beloved nephew Cody Salyers.
In honor of Bill’s extraordinary life, a visitation will be held at the Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home in Vincennes on June 20, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM, concluding with a heartfelt service at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Andrea Clegg officiating.
As we gather to celebrate and remember this incredible man, let us carry forward his vibrant spirit, his radiant smile, his unquenchable laughter, and the limitless love he shared with us all. Though he may have left this earth, his memory will forever be a beacon of inspiration, comfort, and the everlasting proof of a life truly lived with passion and love.
