Max A. Sass & Sons Funeral and Cremation Mission Hills Chapel - FranklinWilliam H. Cooper, known affectionately as Bill to his friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on February 20, 1944, to Beatrice and William Cooper, Bill's life was a testament to the values of love, hard work, and adventure that he held dear.
Bill's journey began in 1944, in the heart of a bustling post-war America. He grew up with the love and support of his family, graduating from Nathan Hale High School in 1961. This was the foundation upon which he built a life full of achievement and service. His career as a lithographer spanned several companies in the Milwaukee area, where his skill and attention to detail were greatly valued by colleagues and clients alike.
At home, Bill was the beloved husband of Pat, with whom he shared 57 years of unwavering partnership. Together, they raised two sons, Scott and Tom, with Tom's wife Katie joining the family fold. Bill's role as a grandfather to Jordan was one of his most treasured. He is also survived by his siblings, Jane (the late Ron) Stanger, Cordes (Joan) Cooper, and Richard (Deb Peterson) Cooper, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Bill found solace and excitement in the great outdoors. His passion for nature was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of his adventurous spirit and his appreciation for the world's beauty.
Colleagues and loved ones alike knew Bill as a man who could fix anything. His hands were skilled, and his mind was sharp, making him the go-to handyman in any situation. But beyond his practical abilities, Bill's adventurous soul shone through in everything he did.
Bill Cooper's life was one of loving commitment to his family, dedication to his work, and an unbridled passion for life's adventures. As we bid farewell to this remarkable man, we celebrate the indelible impact he made on the world. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him, and his spirit will continue to guide us in the days to come. Bill's life was a journey well-traveled, and his story will be told with fondness and admiration for generations. Rest in peace, Bill; your legacy endures.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, March 3rd, from 10:00 AM until the service at 12:30 PM.
