William 'Bill' Earl Keely, age 88, of New Castle, passed away the early morning of Aug. 4, 2025, at UPMC Jameson Hospital.

Born June 12, 1937, in New Castle, he was the son of the late Earl Daniel and Emma Ruth (Campbell) Keely.

On Sept. 27, 1957, he married his wife of 67 years, the former, Charlotte J. McMillen. Mrs. Keely survives at home.

Bill was a proud 1955 graduate of New Castle High School. He owned and operated, Valley Freight Lines. Shortly after his trucking business closed, he then went on to own a lawn care business. Bill cherished the times he spent with his family.

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his four children, Kay Thomas of New Castle, PA, Brenda (Larry) Keely of Raleigh, NC, Sue Keely of New Castle, PA, and James (Kathryn) Keely of Berlin, MD; one sister, Linda McKay of New Castle, PA; five grandchildren, Joshua (Brittany) Thomas, Christopher (Krista) Thomas, Nathan Keely, Claire Keely, McKenzie Williams, and one great-granddaughter, Charlotte.

Visitation will be held on Wed. Aug. 6th from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 2429 Wilmington Road, New Castle.

A funeral service will take place immediately following visitation, at 6:00 PM, with Rev. Randy Stringer officiating.

Burial will be at Center Presbyterian Cemetery.
