William "Bill" Randall Obituary

Visit the Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions - North Dayton Chapel website to view the full obituary.

William Arthur Randall was born April 20, 1952 to Thomas and Willie Mae Randall in Chicago, Illinois. He was the 2nd oldest of 6 children. His parents and brother Curtis, preceded him in death. William attended Nemo’s Reef School in Huber Heights, Ohio. He also attended Overton School in Chicago and was home-schooled by his mom, who helped him to learn to read and develop that perfect penmanship we all loved!

William relocated to Dayton, Ohio in 2006 after the passing of his Dad. He lived with his sister Carmen during his time in Dayton. William enjoyed the love of a close family, even though his nieces and nephews were in different states, they would “Fly In” for an Uncle Bill celebration. William was known for his soft-spoken, kind nature and that smile!

William passed October 13, 2025, at home in his “Big Chair” with his sister and brother-in-law, Lewis by his side. His last smile and relaxing moments were spent at home. William loved watching TV, especially old movies, westerns, and sports (Bengals). He also enjoyed listening to country western music, writing his programs, arts &crafts, and eating out. His Brother Ron would shave him and share a good laugh, then off to the movies! He would enjoy a good Football/Baseball game with his brother in law Lewis each Sunday afternoon.

He was fond of horses, stuffed animals.

His favorite color was green! He loved school and Ms. Rose, his girlfriend. They dated for over 3 years. William “Uncle Bill” leaves to mourn, no…to celebrate his life so many friends and family.
