William Bivens Obituary
Lee was always giving and reaching out to others, there wasn't a stranger he hadn't met. Most would remember the joy that Lee's presence would bring.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service to celebrate Lee's life at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with his brother-in-law, Rev. Tony McLamb, officiating. Interment will be in Pineview Cemetery.
Lee is survived by his sisters, Pam Hood of Grantham, Joyce McLamb and husband, Tony of Goldsboro and Susan Elliott of Dudley; and several nieces and nephews he loved very much. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnnie D. (Danny) Bivens, Jr.
We would like to give a very special thank you to the wonderful staff at Brookdale Country Day Road for the love and care they provided for the "Sheriff", as he was affectionally called, during the recent months. Simple words cannot express our gratitude. Also a thank you to the caregivers with Gentiva Hospice who cared for Lee over these past few weeks.
