William R. Blake, 75, passed away on February 13th, 2025, in Delaware Ohio after a swift but fierce battle with pancreatic cancer. Bill was born on August 24th, 1949, in Steubenville, Ohio, the son of Richard Harper Blake and Iona Musser Blake of Noble County, Ohio.
Bill graduated from Steubenville High School in 1967. He received an undergraduate degree majoring in business from Ohio Northern University in 1971 continuing on to earn his MBA from Baldwin Wallace in 1974. He was employed with the Kayes Company serving as a dedicated sales manager in the auto parts industry for over 40 years before his retirement.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Scott, whom he married on August 5, 2006, and his loving parents Richard and Iona Blake.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Colin) Monahan and their son, Everett; his son, William (Sarah) Blake and their children, Vivian, Farrall and Evelyn; the mother of his children and first wife, Sandra Blake, his step son, Rob (Krista) King and their son, Alex; his step son, Mark King and his son, Preston; his sister, Delores Farrall (John deceased) and their sons, John, Greg, and David and his sister, Diane Frawley (Mike deceased) and their children, Shannon and Sean.
Many have been the recipient of Bill's friendship, kindness, and generosity throughout the years. He was an avid photographer and collector of cars and found much joy in restoring historic vehicles. He dedicated his free time to organizing local "car club" activities and could always be found in the background assisting with charity events. Since his wife's passing, Bill took on her volunteer work at Sourcepoint of Delaware assisting with Meals on Wheels deliveries for those in need. Bill took great pleasure in researching his family genealogy and making connections with those near and far. He was also a member of the New England Lodge #4 F & A in Worthington.
A private family service and burial will be held at Olive Cemetery in Caldwell, Ohio where Bill will be laid to rest alongside his parents. The family will host a "Celebration of Life" for friends and family in the spring when the weather is more hospitable. For information regarding the time and place please check his page here.

I volunteered with Bill at meals on wheels. Had many enjoyable days with him. He was a sweet and caring man who often talked about his family especially his grandchildren. He will be missed. Condolences to his family.
